a * <br /> f <br /> to the fine or imprisonment above provided, if the ordinance is violated by the <br /> holder of any such license , or any of his employees, the Court shall make an <br /> order closing such place of business permanently, and cancelling and revoking said <br /> license, and thereupon the Clerk of the Court shall furnish the Commissioner of <br /> Safety with a copy of such order, and the Commissioner of Safety shall proceed to <br /> close said place of business permanently, and thereafter no license shall be <br /> granted for such location for a period of 2 years. <br /> Section 28: All Ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are <br /> hereby repealed. <br /> Section 29: If any section, paragraph, phrase, clause or sentence of this <br /> ordinance is for any reason held unconstitutional or void, such decision shall <br /> not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this ordinance . <br /> Section 30: The license provided for herein shall be for the purpose of <br /> regulation and raising revenue or for the combined purpose of regulation and <br /> raising revenue. In those cases in which the purpose is for regulation, the <br /> provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed an exercise of the Police Power of <br /> the State of Washington and of the City of Everett for the protection and preser- <br /> vation of public morality, health, peace and good order within the limits of said <br /> city, and its provisions shall be liberally construed for the accomplishment of <br /> this purpose . <br /> Section 31: An emergency is hereby declared to exist and it is necessary for <br /> the protection and preservation of the public morals, health, peace and good order <br /> of the city of Everett that this ordinance shall take effect immediately and this <br /> ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and publi- <br /> cation. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: March 29th, 1933 <br /> Published: April 3rd, 1933• <br /> -11- <br />
