• <br /> shall post in the licensed premises the license issued by the City Clerk under <br /> the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> POWERS OF ATTORNEY AND ASSIGNLENT <br /> Section 18: From and after the passage of this ordinance, it shall be un- <br /> lawful for any licensed beer dealer to execute to another person powers of at- <br /> torney, granting any authority over any beer license granted by the City Coun- <br /> cil under this ordinance . <br /> DUMB WAITERS AND STAIRWAYS <br /> Section 19: It shall be unlawful for any retail licensed beer parlor to <br /> permit any dumb waiter, stair way, or passage way therefrom, leading from a <br /> beer parlor to places where intoxicating liquora are sold, to rooms over head <br /> or down stairs or to any other place, for the purpose of selling beer and wine <br /> therefrom; provided, however, that in the discretion of the Commissioner of <br /> Public Safety, the provisions of this section shall not apply to restaurants <br /> and cafes. <br /> BONL6 <br /> Section 20: No license for the sale of beer and wine in any beer parlor <br /> or by a wholesaler distributor or jobber shall be granted until the applicant <br /> therefor shall give good and sufficient bond executed by some responsible sure- <br /> ty company, authorized to do business in the State of Washington, Conditioned <br /> that the applicant shall save the city harmless from damages in any way arising <br /> from the operation of a beer and wine parlor, shall keep an orderly house, and <br /> shall not sell beer and wine to minors, nor violate any of the provisions of <br /> this ordinance . Such bond before any such license is issued, must be approved <br /> by the City Attorney, and City Council . Said bond shall be payable to the City <br /> of Everett, and both the principals and the surety of said bond shall jointly <br /> and severally acknowledge that they are indebted to the City of Everett in the <br /> full sum. of One Thousand (41,000.00) Dollars, liquidated damages for any viola- <br /> tion of the conditions contained in the said bond, and the City of Everett, or <br /> any other person interested, shall have the right to prosecute an action to re- <br /> co''er the full sum of such bond in any court of competent jurisdiction, and it <br /> is hereby made the duty of the City Attorney to maintain an action for the re- <br /> covery upon any such bonds, the terms of which have been violated in any parti- <br /> cular. <br /> -7- <br />
