• <br /> • <br /> and cigars <br /> any other commodity is to be sold in said beer parlor; provided, cigarettes/may <br /> be kept for sale at the option of the proprietor of said parlor . <br /> A restaurant beer and wine retailer is to be defined as a restaurant which <br /> serves bottled beer and wine with meals, if at all, and any restaurant serving <br /> one sandwich with several drinks shall be considered violating the provisions <br /> of this ordinance and subject to such fine and penalty as is imposed. <br /> Grocers may sell beer to their customers in an amount not exceeding one case <br /> in any one day to the same person, but under no condition shall beer or wine be <br /> consumed on the premises., i,-WO o 'sl..4! T= <br /> Druggists may retail beer only in the identical package or cartons in which <br /> it arrives at their place of business, and no beer shall be consumed at the <br /> place of business or on the premises. <br /> Grocers and druggists may not sell beer or wine at any hour except the hours <br /> in which they are regularly open for all business. No restaurant may sell beer <br /> or wine in any such restaurant or dining room during the hours when the beer par- <br /> lors are required to be closed by the provisions of this ordinance . <br /> Any person desiring to apply for a license for a social or fraternal organi- <br /> zation or club located within the city limits of Everett shall first make appli- <br /> cation to the Commissioner of Safety of said City, describing the premises by <br /> street and number where said social or fraternal organization or club is located, <br /> and such other information as such Commissioner may require . If satisfied that <br /> a license should be issued to the applicant, said Commissioner shall make his re- <br /> commendation to the City Council in the same manner as any other application for a <br /> license is required to be made , but no license shall issue in such case except <br /> upon payment of a fee of *50.00 per annum and subject to the same conditions and <br /> restrictions as in this ordinance provided . <br /> A hotel of 35 rooms or more, having a license , shall not sell and deliver to <br /> any one guest in any 24 hour day to exceed six pint bottles of beer or wine of <br /> 3.2 weight as in this ordinance defined. <br /> r.E:FINITIONS <br /> Section 25 . Wherever the words beer and wine are used in this ordinance, <br /> they shall be taken to mean and include beer and wine containing not more than <br /> 3.2jo of alcohol by weight or 4%o by volume, as legalized by the Federal Govern- <br /> ment. <br /> -9- <br />
