We have completed the first review of the building plans for this project. This email will serve as the review letter. The comments below should be addressed. Two revised full-sized hard -copies of the drawings should be submitted for review. An itemized response letter stating how each comment has been addressed should be included with the drawing. Additional revised documentation, including but not limited structural calculations and other supporting documentation, should be submitted as required. Comments The project involves a sign that projects perpendicularly from the building face and will be subject to wind loading. Calculations substantiating the design of the sign should be submitted for review. See IBC Sections 1604.1, 1604.4, and 1609.1, and ASCE 7-16 Chapter 16. 2. Calculations substantiating the anchorage design should be submitted for review. The anchors should be approved for use in anchoring to CMU facades. Where an approved testing report is used to substantiating the design, a copy of the report should be included in the submittal documents. See IBC Sections 104.11.2 and 1604.1. 3.
