Amendment 1 PSA with Brown and Caldwell for Port Gardner Storage Facility Project <br />Exhibit A Scope of Work <br />7 <br />• Geotechnical engineering site visits, field memoranda, and technical meeting attendance <br />specific to demolition construction is not required. <br />Everett Responsibilities <br />• Provide site access during normal working hours when requested, including prior to and after <br />contractor mobilization to the site. <br />Meetings <br />• CA attendance at construction progress meetings will be limited to an average of once per month <br />over the construction duration for two staff. <br />• Discipline engineer attendance at construction progress meetings up to 12 hours budgeted <br />effort. <br />• Special meetings attendance (pre-submittal, quality control, ad-hoc meetings called by the <br />Contractor, City, or City’s CM). <br />Work Products <br />• Survey information and mapping. <br />• Field memoranda documenting engineer field visits and meetings attendance notes (for Engineer <br />called meetings). <br />Task 300 – Special Inspections <br />Objective: Review testing and special inspection results. Perform structural observations required by <br />the contract documents, International Building Code (IBC), and City’s building department. Provide <br />additional condition assessment deferred to the demolition package which will inform final storage <br />facility package design. <br />Activities/Approach: This task includes the following activities: <br />• BC review of Special inspection reports and materials testing reports in addition to City’s CM. <br />• Provide 2 structural observation visits in accordance with the International Building Code. <br />• Provide discipline engineer visits for additional condition assessment for clarifier topping slabs, <br />neutralization basin drains, contractor dewatered piping, blower building annex slab. <br />• Provide field memoranda from discipline engineer visits to City’s CM. <br />Task Assumptions <br />• City’s PM or CM will schedule special inspections and testing laboratory services. <br />• Special inspections of structural and nonstructural systems not completed by structural <br />engineer, or their designee will be completed by the special inspector or City’s Field <br />Representative(s). <br />• City’s CM or Contractor will furnish notice to CA a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours in advance of <br />all requested structural observations. <br />• All on-site structural observations will be performed between the hours of 7:00 to 16:00 and will <br />be of no longer than 6 hours per visit. <br />• Geotechnical special inspections (subgrade preparation) performed by BC’s geotechnical <br />subconsultant are budgeted under Task 200. <br />Everett Responsibilities <br />• Provide special inspector/testing laboratory contract through City.
