Amendment 1 PSA with Brown and Caldwell for Port Gardner Storage Facility Project <br />Exhibit A Scope of Work <br />10 <br />• Coordinate with Discipline Engineering staff for design services where required. <br />• Review and provide comments on Contractor’s change order pricing. <br />Task Assumptions <br />• City’s CM will administer and manage Change Documentation, including processing change <br />orders and field orders, changed work tracking, distributing change documentation, and <br />maintaining change logs. <br />• An estimated 20 change items is assumed with engineer design labor effort of 5 hours per <br />change item. <br />• Change items number and design effort is an estimate and may not reflect actual number of <br />items or effort. CO metrics will be reviewed monthly and included in the monthly progress report. <br />• Reissuance of contract drawings is not anticipated. Contractor’s record drawings will incorporate <br />contract change designs and record information. City’s CM will check Contractor’s redline record <br />drawings include this information. <br />• BC will review and comment on change order pricing, but price negotiation for Change Orders will <br />be by City’s CM. <br />Everett Responsibilities <br />• Prepare Change Orders (COs), including processing and tracking, <br />• Review and comment on Contractor’s change order proposals content and pricing. <br />• Include executed change orders with equitable adjustment in Contractor pay requests. <br />• Provide research materials and field access to respond to change requests, as required, as <br />governed by the Contract. <br />• Host ad-hoc meetings related to change issues. <br />Meetings <br />• Allowance of up to 10, 1-hour ad-hoc meetings related to change issues. <br />Work Products <br />• Contract change design content, including sketches, photos, pdf markups and reissued Contract <br />Drawings to communicate changes to the Contract Documents. <br />Task 700 – Startup and Testing <br />Objective: Assist City’s CM with Contractor’s testing and commissioning activities. Verify results of <br />start-up tests meet performance criteria in the Contract Documents. Document start-up and testing <br />activities for construction record. <br />Activities/Approach: This task includes the following activities: <br />• Witness testing and commissioning activities, including approving procedures and results prior <br />proceeding with subsequent testing phases. <br />• Coordinate discipline engineering assistance with start-up activities when needed. <br />Task Assumptions <br />• No factory or off-site testing will be witnessed by the Engineer in the Demolition Package. <br />• Startup and testing activities are limited to temporary electrical systems in Demolition Package.
