CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />Beverly Lake Water Quality Retrofit Division 7 – STORM, SEWER, WATER August 2023 <br />WO No. - UPUP3745 SP – 192 <br /> <br />Internal Components and appurtenances shall conform to the following: <br />1. Screen and support structure shall be manufactured of Type 316 and 316L <br />stainless steel conforming to ASTM F 1267-01; <br />2. Hardware shall be manufactured of Type 316 stainless steel conforming to <br />ASTM A320; <br />3. Fiberglass components shall conform to the ASTM D4097 <br />4. Access system(s) conform to the following: <br />5. Manhole castings shall be designed to withstand AASHTO H-20 loadings and <br />manufactured of cast-iron conforming to ASTM A48 Class 30. <br /> <br />Access covers shall be designed in accordance with Section 4-4.2 (3) of the <br />Design and Construction Standards and Specifications and the following: <br /> <br />1. All lids, grates, and hatches larger than 24 inches in a dimension shall be <br />constructed in a manner which allows a single individual to open them without <br />special equipment. <br />2. All lids, grates, and hatches shall be equipped with a pick-hole or handles. <br /> <br />Water Quality Treatment Structures <br /> <br />Structure 1 <br />The StormFilter will consist of an underground precast concrete structure that <br />houses passive, radial flow, siphon-actuated, and rechargeable media filled <br />filtration cartridge(s). The structure and internal components will be <br />provided by the Owner and to be installed by the Contractor. The structure <br />will be located at the Owner’s stockyard at 4000 Railway Avenue, Everett, WA. <br />The Contractor will be responsible for transporting the structure from the <br />stockyard to the project site, including all equipment and materials necessary to <br />load and unload the structure and associated components. <br /> <br /> <br />Contractor provided components: <br />All contractor-provided components shall meet the requirements of this <br />section, the plans specifications and contract documents. In the case of <br />conflict, the more stringent specification shall apply. <br /> <br />Sub-base: Crushed rock base material shall be six-inch minimum layer <br />Crushed Surfacing Top Course in accordance with Section 9-03.9(3). <br />Compact undisturbed sub-grade materials to 95% of maximum density at <br />+/-2% of optimum moisture content. Unsuitable material below sub-grade <br />shall be replaced to engineer’s approval. <br /> <br />In-situ concrete, if required, shall have an unconfined compressive <br />strength at 28 days of at least 3000 psi, with ¾-inch round rock, a 4-inch <br />slump maximum, and shall be placed within 90 minutes of initial mixing. <br /> <br />Silicone Sealant shall be pure RTV silicone conforming to Federal <br />Specification Number TT S001543A or TT S00230C or Engineer <br />approved. <br /> <br />Grout shall be non-shrink grout meeting the requirements of Corps of <br />Engineers CRD-C588.
