CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />Beverly Lake Water Quality Retrofit Division 1 – GENERAL REQUIREMENTS August 2023 <br />WO No – UP3745 SP – 95 <br />Following final paving One final reading <br />Monitoring should include vertical and horizontal survey measurements accurate to at <br />least 0.01 feet. At a minimum, optical survey points should be established: (1) along the <br />top of the existing rockery on Beverly Lane and wall at 75th St. SE at approximate 25-foot <br />spacing; (2) at the curb lines; and (3) on/near adjacent buildings near Beverly Lane to <br />document existing cracks/settlement as appropriate. <br /> <br /> <br />Supplement 1-07.16(1)C with the following: <br /> <br />The Contractor may access the work area from a portion of the parking lot of the Boardwalk <br />Condominiums in accordance with the construction easement contained in Appendix K and <br />subject to the following requirements: <br />A. The parking area shall be left clean and free of debris and other obstructions outside of <br />the construction time identified in the easement. Parking stalls must be left in a usable <br />condition at the end of each day’s work. <br />B. Reasonable access to other areas outside of the easement, and the trash bins within the <br />easement, must be provided at all times. <br />C. Seven (7) days notice shall be provided to the owners prior to any activities which will <br />prevent the owners from accessing their parking areas or leaving/entering the site. <br />Restriction of site access shall be limited to the minimum necessary to construct the <br />project and is not intended for parking or staging. <br /> <br /> <br />Delete 1-07.16(4) and replace with the following: <br /> <br />1-07.16(4) Archaeological and Historical Objects <br />Archaeological or historical objects, such as ruins, sites, buildings, artifacts, fossils, or <br />other objects of antiquity that may have significance from a historical or scientific <br />standpoint, which may be encountered by the Contractor, shall not be further disturbed. <br />The Contractor shall immediately notify the Engineer of any such finds. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall obtain a copy of the Inadvertent Discovery Plan from the City. The <br />Contractor shall keep a copy of the inadvertent discovery plan for the project on the work <br />site at all times. The Contractor shall immediately stop all work if human remains, <br />cultural, or archeological resources are discovered in the course of construction. The <br />Contractor shall follow the inadvertent discovery plan in dealing with the human remains, <br />cultural, or archeological resources. <br /> <br />An Inadvertent Discovery Plan (IDP) has been prepared for the Project and is included <br />in Appendix E. All individuals involved in excavation or other underground related work, <br />including those individuals managing the work, shall be familiar with the IDP. In the event <br />that archeological or historically significant objects are identified cease all work in the <br />area and implement the IDP. <br />
