<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2527
<br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2513 entitled as follows,
<br /> to-wit:
<br /> "An Ordinance relating to, and providing for, the licen-
<br /> sing and regulating of certain occupations, businesses,
<br /> vocations, trades, callings, amusements, places of amuse-
<br /> ment , exhibitions, entertainments, animals, motor vehicles,
<br /> places aid establishments; defining offenses, providing
<br /> penalties; providing for the revocation and suspension of
<br /> licenses, repealing Ordinances No. 2196, 853, 131503,
<br /> 1583, 1686, 1595, 1598, 1771, 1851, 1932, 1941, 1948,
<br /> 1964, 2087, 2182, 2249, 23i3, 2370 andin 2038, -and all
<br /> l other
<br /> ordinances or parts of or
<br /> by adding thereto 4 new sections to be called Sections 163A, 163B,
<br /> 163C and 163D, relating to licenses and bond for engaging in the
<br /> business of transient merchant and declaring an emergency.
<br /> TEE CITY COE v ITT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section 1: That Ordinance No. 2513 of the City of Everett be
<br /> amended by adding thereto a new section to be called Section 163A,
<br /> Which shall read as follows, to-wit: "Section 163A: Everytperson,
<br /> firm or corporation engaged in or participating in a temporary or
<br /> transient business of selling or offering for sale , goods, wares and
<br /> merchandise , either by sample, or otherwise in any tent, room,
<br /> building, or other structure is hereby designated to be a transient
<br /> merchant and such transient merchant shall not engage in or carry
<br /> on any business within the City of Everett until such person, firm
<br /> or corporation shall have obtained a license therefor . Such license
<br /> shall be a daily license only, and shall be in the sum of Twenty-five
<br /> ( 25.00) Dollars for each day."
<br /> Section 2: That Ordinance No. 2513 of the City of Everett be
<br /> amended by adding thereto a new section to be called Section 163B,
<br /> Which shall read as follows, to-wit: "Section 163B: Any person
<br /> charged with engaging in the business of a transient merchant without
<br /> first obtaining a license therefor and who claims to be a permanent
<br /> merchant, may in lieu of payment of a fine or other penalty and as
<br /> a condition of transacting business as a vendor of merchandise with-
<br /> out the payment of such license fee, be required to give a bond to
