Air • <br /> • <br /> the City of Everett in the penal sum of 41, 000.00 to be approved by <br /> the Mayor to secure the payment of the license fee required in the <br /> event he fails to become a permanent merchant ; provided, that if <br /> such person remains continuously in business in the City of Everett <br /> for a period of one year, he shall be considered and deemed a <br /> permanent merchant within the meaning of said temm as us.ed in this <br /> ordinance; provided, further, that the provisions of this ordinance <br /> relating to transient merchants shall not be so construed to apply <br /> to sales made to dealers by commercial travellers in wholesale <br /> quantities for re-selling purposes or other selling agents in the <br /> usual course of business." <br /> Section 31 That Ordinance No. 2513 of the City of Everett be <br /> amended by adding thereto a news section to be called Section 1630, <br /> which shall read as follows, to-wit; "Section 163C; Whenever any <br /> stock of goods, wares or merchandise or merchantible articles shall <br /> have been brought into the City of Everett for the purpose of being <br /> sold or otherwise disposed of by a transient merchant, either as an <br /> Independent sale at a new location, or as a part of an existing stook <br /> of goods at an established location, no such merchantible article <br /> shall be sold or offered for sale until a true, full and complete <br /> inventory of the same, duly sworn to has been filed with the City <br /> Clerk of the City of Everett ." <br /> Section 4: That Ordinance No. 2513 of the City of Everett be <br /> amended by adding thereto a new section to be called Section 163D, <br /> which shall read as follows, t o-wit : "Section 163D; Any person, <br /> firm or corporation desiring to take out a license under any of the <br /> provisions of this ordinance shall first pay to the City Treasurer, <br /> the sum hereinbefore provided for, taking said Treasurer' s Receipt <br /> therefor and. shall then make application in writing through the <br /> City Clerk to the City Council, to which petition shall be attached <br />
