4. A handrail should be specified. Due to the conditions on the outer side of the lower run,the handrail should be <br /> placed along the inner side of the stairs. <br /> S. The winders should be revised to provide the minimum interior tread depth of 6 inches. Verify the revised <br /> winder steps are uniform as required. <br /> 6. Attic access should be provided for the spaces along each side of the upper level. <br /> 7. Roof ventilation should be provided for the attic spaces along each side of the upper level. Provided that the <br /> roof above is constructed as a non-vented roof,ventilation is not required overhead; details confirming <br /> construction complying with the non-vented roof requirements of the IRC should be included. <br /> 8. The upper level (e.g.,walls, roof, etc.), and the exposed ceiling spaces over the first story(i.e., attic spaces to <br /> each side of the upper level) are required to comply with the insulation requirements of the WSEC for new <br /> construction. This includes changing out any existing windows to new windows. Note that the spray foam <br /> should be clarified as "closed cell" as it appears this type will be necessary for the project. <br /> 9. The project requires energy credits per the WSEC. A schedule should be included in the drawings. The <br /> performance requirements for the selected credits should be specified. <br /> 10.
