Exhibit A (Scope of Work)
restore the test pit excavation sites to the extent feasible with the
equipment on hand, but some evidence of ground disturbance should
be expected. City is prepared to re-seed disturbed areas.
3.Process and interpret the data to evaluate the feasibility of infiltration
at the site.
4.Evaluate physical and engineering characteristics of the soils based
on laboratory tests performed on selected samples obtained from the
test pits. Representative samples from each test pit will be submitted
to GeoEngineers geotechnical laboratory for grain size distribution
(using ASTM International testing method C136) and organic content
testing. Samples will be submitted to a subcontracted laboratory for
cation exchange capacity testing. We have budgeted to run each of
the three analyses on one sample per test pit. Laboratory testing
may take up to 2 weeks to complete.
5.Prepare an infiltration evaluation report. This report will include the
test pit logs, infiltration test procedures, infiltration testing results, soil
characterization, and conclusions and recommendations regarding
infiltration feasibility of the native soils.
Schedule, Terms, and Fee
Services will be initiated upon receipt of executed agreement. Services will be
conducted on a time-and-expense basis as described in the Methods of Compensation
section of this agreement.
There are no intended third-party beneficiaries arising from the services described in
this proposal and no party other than the party executing this proposal shall have the
right to legally rely on the product of our services without prior written permission of
GeoEngineers.
Total Compensation
Total compensation shall be as follows:
Task 100 Total Fee Estimate ……….$18,900.00
Contingency (20%)……………….........$3,780.00
Total Allowable Compensation………$22,680.00
In case of unforeseen conditions or needs encountered while executing Task 100,
contingency may be utilized with express written permission of City of Everett project
staff.
