Inline filter for dirty and harsh environments
Dimensions of
E700-FILASSY
180mm height x
120mm width
Airflow In
Installation
The E700-FILASSY should be installed as shown in the figure on
the left. Note the following considerations:
>0.5m straight
. Mount the filter vertically above the detector inlet.
pipe length
before any
0 Standard 25 mm or 1/4" pipe' can be connected to the filter
bend
inlet. The filter outlet, which has a standard air sampling
pipe diameter of 25 mm, connects to the VESDA detector.
■ The air sampling pipe input and output must both have a
minimum 0.5 metres (1.64 ft) of straight pipe before any
bends and detector connection.
■ Each sampling pipe requires an individual filter assembly.
■ The filter lid has four options for pipe attachment. However,
only one should be used and the other three must be firmly
blocked with the plugs provided with the filter.
■ The filter is supplied with two choices of sockets to
>0.5m straight
accommodate 25mm and 1/4" sampling pipes depending on
pipe length
the your requirements. The following drawing is a top view
before any
of the lid assembly:
bend
Airflow out to detector
One filter per sampling
Inlet pipe
1
i
Filter Lid - Top View
,to
One open
1x 25mm or tx'/V
and 3 plugs
Top View
Installation in Humid and Wash Down Environments
To VESDA detector
ATrap
LL S c
d
c
J
Condensation may occur if the protected environment is
humid (i.e. over 65% relative humidity or regular wash -down is
performed) or the ambient temperature of filter location is
lower than that of the protected zone.
To prevent water accumulating inside the filter, the assembly
must be fitted horizontally and slightly tilted with the inlet
lower than the outlet as shown in the figure (left). A Tee
junction is used to connect a water trap. The water trap
should be at least 0.5 metres (1.64 ft) away from the filter
assembly. The angle of the filter assembly allows the
condensate to travel back towards the water trap.
Both dimensions areinner diameter.
