Hi Mr. Martin,
First of all, I am not trying to get this approved as an ADU. We did not list the house that way, we listed as a SFR.
My mom was living with me and she was unable to walk upstairs to get into the house and I wasn't going to have her
open the garage door every time she was coming in or out. I enclosed the garage door and put in a regular door in its
place. I converted a family room into a kitchen by moving the receptacles to counter level and adding a receptacle for a
stove, counters, cabinets, and a sink. Besides filling in the garage door, nothing structural was done. I've heard of plenty
of houses having a second kitchen. I'm not sure why this is being considered an ADU.
It would be most helpful if you just let me know what exactly needs to be done to remedy this situation.
Thanks,
Martha Nevins
Sent from my iPhone
On Oct 4, 2021, at 2:09 PM, Drew Martin <dmartin@everettwa.gov> wrote:
Hello, Ms. Nevins.
Your application has been received and a permit set up.
