In <br />compliance with the Procurement Policy, this purchase is brought before Council for <br />award. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The Phil Johnson Ballfields playground is twenty-two years old and exceeds the City of <br />Everett Park’s life-cycle standard of 15 years. Replacement of the existing equipment <br />will update the playground to current industry standards and add options for accessible <br />play. <br />The quotation provided by Landscape Structures, Inc. includes all playground equipment <br />and installation services, including all products and surfacing. <br />The equipment and labor are available for purchase from Landscape Structures, Inc. <br />through the King County Directors’ Association (KCDA) competitively bid contract #22- <br />315/City of Everett #2022-069. The City has an Interlocal cooperative purchasing <br />agreement with KCDA that allows for purchases from its competitively awarded <br />contracts instead of soliciting bids on our own. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Award and authorize purchase of playground equipment and installation with Landscape <br />Structures, Inc. from King County Directors’ Association contract #22-315/City of Everett <br />#2022-069 in the amount of $350,800.91 including Washington state sales tax. <br />
