AP . <br /> Any person wishing to place or cause to be placed any such <br /> building materials in any publ&yeet, avenue or other public <br /> place as specified in aectiell of this ordinance, instead <br /> of furnishing a separate bond iripach individual instance, may on <br /> making written application therefor to said City Council, furnish <br /> a good and sufficient bond, with one or more sureties, to be <br /> furnished by any surety company authorized to transact the <br /> business of a surety within the state of Washington, to said City <br /> of Everett, in the penal sum of two thousand dollars (42000.00) <br /> which bond shall apply to and cover all such permits which may <br /> thereafter be granted to said applicant during the period of one <br /> year from such original apthcation. Said bond shall be <br /> approved by the City Uouncil and shall be conditioned as provided <br /> in Section 3y lof this ordinance, and shall also, be expressly <br /> conditioned ire Ve applicable to all permits which may be granted <br /> to said applicant during the period of one year from the date of <br /> such original application. <br /> - <br /> Section 1' io person,' ' <br /> . .7.,, . lrson, corporation, firm or association <br /> 4,1 <br /> of persons shall leave ay of the building material or materials <br /> mentioned in Section hereof in or upon any street, avenue, <br /> alley or other public g ound in the City of Everett, without <br /> erecting barriers sufficient to adequately safeguard persons <br /> and/or property, ana, during the night time, placing thereon red <br /> lights sufficient and adequate to warn any and all persons of <br /> danger, and no person, corporation, firm or association of <br /> persons shall leave any building in or upon any such street , <br /> avenue, alley or other public ground in the City of Everett <br /> during the hours of darkness within one hundred feet of any <br /> street intersection and without having the entire block in which <br /> said building is left adequately barricaded and closed to traffic <br /> and without placing on said building and on said barricades <br /> red lights sufficient and adequate and so placed as to earn <br /> all approaching traffic of the existence of said obatruction in <br /> said place and without having a watchman at such building. <br /> Section -. -/// : It shall be unlawful for any person or <br /> persons, their agents or employees engaged in the removal of any <br /> building along any or across any street, avenue, alley or other <br /> public gro4nd, to fasten "dogs" or other appliances used in said <br /> work of removal on the sidewalks, curbing, gutters, street plank- <br /> ing, pavement or street crossings in said city. <br /> 3ectio41 : Any permit or license provided for herein <br /> may be revokea at any time by said City Council for any violation <br /> on the part of the holder of any of the conditions of said <br /> ordinances or regulation of said City Council relating to such <br /> use of the aul-lte straits. <br /> 6ectiola .... ;? <br /> 111 city Council of said city is authorized <br /> to grant to any person a permit in writing to place and keep any <br /> building materials i- any of the public streets, alleys, avenues, <br /> or other public places of said city for a period of time not exceed- <br /> ing three months, but such permit shall not authorize the ob*truction <br /> of more than one-third of the carriageway of the street opposite the <br /> lot on which a building is to be erected or repaired by the person <br /> to whom such permit is issued; and every person to whom such permit <br /> shall be granted shall construct and maintain during the entire time <br /> he shall obstruct any such street, avenue, alley or other public <br /> place under such permit a temporary sidewalk at least two feet in <br /> width around said obstructions. <br /> -it - <br />
