One of said license plates so procured from the city Clerk shall be attached to the left side of said vehicle and the other to the right side of said vehicle, and attached in such manner that they will be conspicuous and in such manner that they can be plainly seen and read at all times. Sections It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or cor- poration to operate any motor truck or motor truck trailer, or cause either of the same to be operated, in the dray business, within t: xi limits/of the city of "Everett, without first having obtained a dray license from the city clerk, and having paid to the city Treasurer therefor, the license fee, which shall be the amount provided for in Section _al hereof as the truck license for such motor truck or motor f truck trailer, plus the additional sum of 10.00. For the purpose of this ordinance, any motor truck or motor truck trailer will be deemed to be engaged in the dray business when the use to which it is put is that of transporting goods, wares or merchandise of others for pay or reward. Section / The term "taxicab" wherever used in this ordinance shall be held and construed to mean and include every mot orvehicle having a seating capacity of five passengers or less, as per manufacturer' c rating, used for the transportation of passengers for hire, and not operated exclusively over a fixed and defined route. The term "for-Hire car" wherever used in this ordinance shall be held and construed to mean and include every motor vehicle having, a seating capacity of seven passengers or more, as per manufacturer' s rat ing, used for the transportation of passengers for hire, and not operated exclusively over a fixed and defined route.
