• <br /> r <br /> AMUSEMENTS AND AMUSEMENT PLACES <br /> Sects o I s timinezm..VUAe i..•►rw..ret,. .®ao..c.,„„mimuks mumgr sti a . <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person to open, operate, conduct, manage, <br /> ma.rrnev <br /> maintain, or control, or be in anw onnecte d with the opening, operation, <br /> conducting, management, maintenance, or control of any place of amuse- <br /> ment, entertainment, or exhibition of the character specified in this <br /> ordinance when the same is conducted for the purpose of profit, direct <br /> or indirect, and is open to the public, without a valid and subsisting <br /> license, to be known as an "Amusement License ". <br /> Section; 9 Licenses for any such exhibition, performance, show, <br /> f <br /> entertainment, amusement or business, shall be issued by the City Clerk <br /> upon application therefor, and shall be, by said City Clerk, delivered <br /> to the City yreasurer of said City, who shall collect the amount of the <br /> license fee fixed by the ordinance to be paid for such license and upon <br /> payment to him of said amount shall deliver said license to the <br /> applicant therefor. <br /> Section, "" /7 <br /> For each and every circus, menagerie or trained <br /> animal show exhibiting within the city of Everett, there shall be paid <br /> for each exhibition day a license fee as follows: Six (46.00 ) Dollars <br /> for each and every railroad car or coach upon which such circus menagerie <br /> or trained animal show is transported, including stock cars, flat cars, <br /> box cars, passenger coaches, sleeping cars, etc. , providing, however, <br /> that the minimum fee for any circus, menagerie or trained animal show, <br /> shall be one Hundred and Fifty ( 4150.00) Dollars. Por each sideshow <br /> conducted by such circus, for which a separate admission is charged, <br /> there shall be an additional license fee of Fifteen (415.00 ) Dollars.- <br /> or a merry-go-round or a "Joy Wheel" Five (45.00 ) <br /> ) <br /> Dollars per day for one day or any number of days less than a week. <br /> Twenty-five ( 25.00) Dollars per week, not including the first day of <br /> the week, commonly called Sunday. No license per day shall be granted <br /> for Sunday and it shall be unlawful to operate any merry-go-round or <br /> "JoyWheel" under a weekly license on Sunday. <br /> - fir_ <br />
