2
Stormwater
20
Include all construction -related BMPs with MR #2, CSWPPP.
Response from PERTEET: Is the City asking
Site Plan
For MR #3, list all applicable Source Control BMPs from
for a list of all BMPs relevant or not, or are
Volume IV in the Manual.
they asking for a complete detailed
CSWPPP? PERTEET included all CSWPPP
elements and listed anticipated BMPs. In
our opinion, a complete list does not add
value to the stormwater report but, if the
reviewer would like us to list all BMPs from
the manual, we can add it into the report.
I'll also point out that the report states "A
CSWPPP will be prepared and refined by the
contractor prior to construction" and "the
Contractor's Erosion and Sediment Control
(ESC) Lead to determine the most
appropriate BMPs". The specifications
should include a provision for a Contractor
provided complete CSWPPP. We were not
scoped to provide a CSWPPP hence the
abbreviated list of BMPs. Source control
BMPs would also be on the Contractor and
usually includes a spill prevention
plan/clean-up plan, jurisdiction
requirements for stockpiled materials
(covering and or using the materials
quickly), and any other related source
pollutants that require mitigation.
Construction BMPs should not be listed
under MR #3. Section 5.3 currently
discusses construction BMPs.
Additionally, we ask all applicants to list out
applicable Source Control BMPs to the
project, and City projects are no exception
to our standard documentation
requirements. We ask for a list of the BMP
numbers and names from the Manual.
