City of Everett 00 2113 - 6 <br />2024 WPCF Biosolids Removal UT 3826-2 <br /> <br /> <br />00 2113 - 6 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br />specific borings regardless of any subsurface information the City may <br />make available to the prospective Bidders. <br />The boring log data and soil sample data, if any, are included in the bid <br />documents. <br />If there is a geotechnical report made by the City, Bidder may contact the <br />Project Manager to arrange to view the geotechnical report. <br />1-02.5 Bid Form <br />The City reserves the right to arrange the bid forms with alternates and additives, <br />if such be to the advantage of the City. The Bidder shall bid on all alternates and <br />additives set forth in the Bid Form unless otherwise specified. <br />1-02.6 Preparation of Bid <br />Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the City and found in the Contract <br />Documents. All blank spaces in the Bid form shall be legibly filled in using a non- <br />erasable medium. Do not qualify Bids, since this will automatically be cause for <br />rejection of the Bid. <br />A Bid will be rejected if the authorized Bid form furnished by the City is not used. <br />Bid prices shall include everything necessary for the completion of the Work <br />including, but not limited to, providing the materials, equipment, tools, plant and <br />other facilities, and the management, superintendence, labor, and all necessary <br />testing services. <br />Bidders are warned against making erasures or alterations of any kind to the Bid <br />Form, and bids that contain omissions, erasures, or irregularities of any kind may <br />be rejected. No oral, telegraphic, electronic, or telephonic bids or modifications <br />will be considered. <br />In the event that the product of a unit price and an estimated quantity does not <br />equal the extended amount quoted, the unit price shall govern, and the correct <br />product of the unit price and the estimated quantity shall be deemed to be the <br />amount bid. If the sum of two or more items in a bidding schedule does not equal <br />the total amounts quoted, the individual item amounts shall govern and the correct <br />total shall be deemed to be the amount bid. <br />RCW 35.22.650 CERTIFICATION <br />Contractor agrees that the Contractor shall actively solicit the employment of <br />minority group members. Contractor further agrees that the Contractor shall <br />actively solicit Bids for the subcontracting of goods or services from qualified <br />minority businesses. Contractor shall furnish evidence of the Contractor's <br />compliance with these requirements of minority employment and solicitation. <br />Contractor further agrees to consider the grant of subcontracts to said minority <br />bidders on the basis of substantially equal proposals in the light most favorable to <br />said minority businesses. The Contractor is required to submit evidence of <br />compliance with this section as part of the Bid by completing and submitting with <br />the Bid the RCW 35.22.650 CERTIFICATION.
