City of Everett 01 1100 - 3 <br />2024 WPCF Biosolids Removal UT 3826-2 <br /> <br /> <br />00 1100 - 3 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />is expected to coordinate with City to avoid disruption to ongoing wastewater <br />treatment processes or operations. <br /> <br />B. Contractor will be responsible for locking the gated entrances to the Biosolids <br />Pad outside of working hours. Contractor City will not accept liability for damages, <br />vandalism, theft, or other loss due to failure of Contractor to maintain site security. <br />See Section 01 3553. <br /> <br />C. The Contractor shall coordinate with City in scheduling operations to minimize <br />conflict with concurrent construction projects, plant operations, and maintenance <br />activities. <br /> <br /> <br />1.7 BIOSOLIDS REMOVAL AND DEWATERING <br /> <br />A. Decontamination <br /> <br />1. Contractor shall decontaminate all equipment prior to starting work at the <br />WPCF. See 01 7400 Invasive Species Equipment Decontamination. <br /> <br />B. Dredging <br /> <br />1. Dredging Equipment <br />a. The Contractor will provide the dredge and all necessary equipment <br />to dredge biosolids from the Aeration Cell #2. <br />b. The Contractor will also provide all fuel and other equipment and <br />appurtenances necessary to perform and support the dredging <br />operations. <br />c. Contractor is responsible to maintain and repair any damage incurred <br />to the dredge during dredging operations. <br />2. Spills <br />a. Any spillage of polymer, fuel, or any debris or materials associated <br />with the Contractor’s activities or operations must be reported to the <br />City’s Project Manager as soon as possible. <br />b. The Contractor shall clean up any spills immediately per the <br />Contractor’s approved Spill Prevention Plan or in a manner approved <br />of by the City’s Project Manager. Spill response and cleanup shall be <br />at the Contractor’s expense. See Section 01 5000 Temporary and <br />Environmental Controls, 1.10 Spill Prevention. <br />3. Dredge Operations <br />a. Contractor shall determine and implement the best operational <br />procedure for the successful removal of the defined quantity of <br />biosolids within the allotted amount of time. <br />b.
