City of Everett 00 2113 - 13 <br />2024 WPCF Biosolids Removal UT 3826-2 <br /> <br /> <br />00 2113 - 13 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br />OTHER MATTERS <br />Time of Completion <br />The Contractor shall complete the Work on or before the date or dates specified in <br />Section 00 5213 -AGREEMENT FORM <br />Equal Employment Opportunity <br />The Contractor will be required to assure that equal employment opportunities will be <br />in effect to all individuals throughout the duration of this Contract, pursuant to <br />SECTION 00 7200, Part 7 “Labor Standards,” of the Contract Documents. The <br />Contractor must comply with all local, State and Federal laws pertaining to non- <br />discrimination and equal employment opportunity. <br />Sales Tax <br />The Washington State Department of Revenue has issued special rules on the State <br />sales tax. The Contractor should contact the Washington State Department of <br />Revenue for answers to questions in this area. The City will not adjust its payment if <br />the Contractor bases a Bid on a misunderstood tax liability. The Contractor shall not <br />include State retail sales taxes in the unit bid prices. A separate line item for applying <br />State retail sales tax is provided in the Bid Form. <br />Limitations Regarding Contractor’s Claim for Damages <br />Bidders should review the Contract Documents regarding limitations on claims for <br />damages. <br />Delays and Interference <br />Bidders should review the Contract Documents regarding delays and interference. <br />Business License <br />A City of Everett business license is required for the Contractor and Subcontractors <br />performing Work on this Project. <br />BIDDER’S CHECKLIST <br />Forms for Submission with the Bid <br />The Bidder’s attention is especially called to the following forms that must be <br />executed in full as required and submitted with the Bid. <br />1. Bid Form: Show the lump sum and unit price items in the spaces provided <br />on the Bid Form. To be filled in and signed by the Bidder <br />2. Subcontractors Form: To be filled in by the Bidder, if required by these <br />Instructions. <br />3. Bid Security: This form is to be executed by the Bidder and the surety <br />company unless Bid is accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check, as <br />required by these instructions. The amount of the bond or cashier’s check, <br />which shall be not less than five percent of the Total Bid Amount, may be <br />shown in dollars or on a percentage basis. <br />4. RCW 35.22.650 Certification: To be filled in and signed by the Bidder. <br />5. Non-Collusion Affidavit: To be signed, notarized and submitted with the Bid. <br />Failure to complete and fully execute the aforementioned forms and to submit them <br />with the Bid may result in rejection of Bid.
