October 11, 2023 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., October 11, <br />2023, by President Stonecipher. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin, and Council Members Zarlingo, Vogeli, Fosse, <br />Tuohy, Schwab, Rhyne, and President Stonecipher were present. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli read the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the October 4, 2023 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin provided comments on Indigenous People Day,, the new Everett Municipal <br />Building Land Acknowledgement art installation by the Tulalip artist James Madison, recognition <br />of White Cane Awareness Day on October 15th and provided a proclamation to Victor Harris who <br />brought it forward. <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin introduced a resolution to change the name of the 1000 block of Trojan Way to <br />Officer Dan Rocha Way. She thanked Officer Dan Rocha’s family, Everett Police Officers, <br />community, and the Everett Community College for allowing this change to honor Officer Dan <br />Rocha’s life. <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin provided comments regarding the current attacks on Israel. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council received no written comments and the following members of the public spoke: Alan <br />Rubio. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br />
