ORDINANCE NO. 2467 • An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1930, on all tax- able property, both real and personal, in said city, subject to tax- ation thereon for the purr.ose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments of said city for the ensuing year as re- quired by the charter of said city and the laws of the State of piashington, prescribing and apportioning the same into the different funds of said city for said fiscal year, providing for the collecti on thereof and repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith. VHEREAS, on the 14th day of October , 1929, the City Council of the city of Everett did duly and regularly adopt the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public expenses of said city for the ensuing year and the amount to be raised by taxation in said city for the said ensuing year from sources other than by direct taxation, and WHEREAS, notice that said City Council tentatively com- pleted the budget of the city of Everett for the year 1930, and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any taxpayer of the city of Everett upon application therefor and that the City Council would meet�n the Council Room of the City Hall at 10.30 a. m. Oc- tober 7‹ 1929, for the purpose of fixing the final budget and designating the tax levies; and thy:-t any taxpayer might appear thereat and be heard for or against any part of said budget, was published in the official newspaper of s .id city in all respects as required by law, and ; H ;REAS, said City Council did. on October 4th, 1929, meet in the City Hall of said City at 10.30 a. m. for the purpose aforesaid and having heard all persons ircpea.ring in favor of or against said proposed tax levy, did there and then make, determine and decide the amount of taxes to be placed upon the current assess- ment rolls to be in the sum of 503,900.00, apportioned as herein-
