That conclusion is based on <br /> the following analysis: <br /> 1. Characterization of the Site. <br /> Ecology has determined your characterization of the Site is sufficient to establish cleanup <br /> standards and select a cleanup action. The Site is described above and in Enclosure A. <br /> In November of 2016, seven soil borings and ten test pits were installed on-site. One soil <br /> sample was collected from each of the soil borings or test pits. All seven soil-boring <br /> samples and eight test pit samples were analyzed for gasoline, diesel, and oil. Three soil <br /> boring samples and four test pit samples were analyzed for arsenic, cadmium, chromium, <br /> lead, and mercury. Six soil boring samples and six test pit samples were also analyzed <br /> for four volatile organic compounds, and thirteen polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. <br /> Gasoline was detected in one (of seven) soil boring samples at a concentration above the <br /> MTCA Method A standard while diesel was detected in one (of seven) soil boring <br /> samples and oil in four of seven soil boring samples. All diesel and oil detections were <br /> below their respective MTCA Model A standards. Oil was detected in six of eight test pit <br /> samples. All detections were below the MTCA Method A standard. There were no <br /> detections of gasoline or diesel in any test pit sample. Chromium was detected in four of <br /> four test pit samples while lead was detected in two of four test pit samples. All <br /> chromium and lead detections were below their respective MTCA Method A standards. <br /> There were no detections of arsenic, cadmium, or mercury in any of the four test pit <br /> samples. Volatile organic compounds were detected in four of six soil borings while <br /> polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were detected in two of four soil boring samples. <br />
