Permit #: B2308-010, First Building Review Letter
November 30, 2023
3. The narrative for this project references classrooms and there are no classrooms noted on plans and no
occupant load on plan sheet A0.30 which corresponds with classroom occupant load. Please clarify.
Response: The only mention of classrooms appears to be in the "Project Description & Data" section
on sheet A0.00. This is a typo, there are no classroom spaces existing or proposed. No classroom
occupant loads will be required.
4. An update was received, however it was after the initial review was complete. Please update the plans
to address the items listed herein prior to reviewing multiple times. The additional review will
encompass the updates requested in the letter and clouded updates received after the initial review was
complete. Note additional comments may follow upon receiving & reviewing a combined updated plan
set. Response: The updated plans were sent 10/17/2023, this letter indicates this review was done on
11/21/2023. All comments made on the plan set dated 7/31/2023 are no longer relevant as the
revisions shown on the plan set dated 10/09/2023 (posted by the city on the etrackit website on
10/17/2023) no longer revise much of the building
Egress:
5. Indicate 2018 IBC Egress Lighting throughout this project. Response: No revision to the current lighting
is proposed, existing egress lighting will remain unaltered.
6. Note the locations for the required Tactile Exit signage per 2018 IBC. Response: Can we request that
this is noted as a condition of approval — door 105A is required to have tactile exit signage per 2018
WA IBC?
Accessibility:
7. Please indicate on a revised site plan the location and associated details of the required accessible
parking spaces which corresponds with the increased occupant load. Response: Occupant load is now
unchanged, current parking will remain unchanged
Miscellaneous:
8. Please indicate the location(s) of the required drinking fountain(s) based on IBC Chapter 29 Section
2902.5.1 Drinking Fountain Number, Washington State Amendments which corresponds with the new
occupant load. Response: Occupant load is now unchanged, no new drinking fountains are proposed
This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and amended by
the state of Washington and the City of Everett. Corrections and comments made during the review process
do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit requirements. The designers -of -record are
responsible for a complete design in accordance with the laws of the state of Washington.
Resubmittal Instructions: Please upload your revised documents through the Online Permitting Portal at
https://onlinepermits.everettwa.gov, following the required standards and naming convention listed in
the permit document upload standards & instructions (PDF). Once uploaded, you must send an email with
your Transmittal Sheet (PDF) to PermitServices@everettwa.gov to ensure proper routing through the
system, as the online permitting portal does not notify staff when documents are uploaded. Failure to do so
will delay your permit review.
3200 Cedar Street © 425.257.8810 O
Everett, WA 98201 Sam-12pm & 1pm-3pm
everetteps@everettwa.gov
everettwa.gov/permits
