The proposed scope-of-work is not clear. The drawings should clearly delineate between
existing and new work using established drafting standards. All demolition should be shown on
the existing floor plans. All new construction should be shown on the new floor plan. Where
the proposed project includes modifications existing building components (e.g., gypsum wall
board, insulation, etc.), these components should be similarly delineated from existing
component that are not being altered. See IRC Section R106.1.1.
of- U Li /AY-, rs 4,,eCt_ txy .2—'4' 2,c6
A partitions legend has been added to Sheet A2 Floor Plans for existing and proposed walls for
reference.
7 The "Building Code Summary"on Sheet A0.0 lists the 2018 editions of the building codes. The
project was originally submitted in January 2021 before the adoption of the 2018 editions and is
allowed to comply with the 2015 editions if preferred. It is noted that some requirements have
changed between the editions and become more stringent, including but not limited to the
energy credit requirements per the WSEC. The proposed codes should be verified and indicated
in the drawings accordingly. Note that all codes used in the project should be either the 2015
or 2018 editions, not a combination thereof. See Section R106.1.1.
The"Building Code Summary" on Sheet A0.0 Cover sheet has been adjusted to show the 2015
edition of the building codes. This has been revised and indicated in the drawings.
/The"Building Code Summary"on Sheet A0.0 lists the Construction Type and Occupancy
Classification as"V-B"and "R-3", respectively. These correlate to the IBC. It is understood that
Page 1 of 8 J
