The Summary should be <br /> revised. See Section R106.1.1. <br /> The Construction Type and Occupancy Classification has been removed from Sheet A0.0 Cover <br /> Sheet. <br /> The construction drawings appear to have references to codes that are not adopted by the City <br /> of Everett, including but not limited to"SRC" in Detail 1/A6. References to other codes should <br /> be removed or revised as appropriate. See EMC 16.005.030. <br /> References to other codes have been removed from the drawings accordingly. <br /> Architectural <br /> (The Site Plan on Sheet Al indicates a separation between building of 9'-7"and a proposed <br /> modification to the existing single family residence (SFR) to provide a 10-foot separation. The <br /> following comments should be addressed: <br /> a. The proposed modifications to the existing SFR require submitting a separate building <br /> permit application. Approval of this application will be dependent on approval of the other <br /> application. Work approved under this permit and the associated Certificate of Occupancy <br /> will not be finalized until the other permit is finalize. <br /> b. Continuing with the previous comment, the current project may be revised to specify an <br /> imaginary lot line between the two building to establish the effective fire separation <br /> distances for each building. Note that the distance should not be less than five feet for the <br /> existing SFR. The north wall of the two-family dwelling will require a two-way one-hour <br /> rated wall per Table R302.1(1). The drawings should include a detail for a tested <br /> assembly. irk &or [r,JE 4rt./n/ 4L,o4S. <br /> A detail for a proposed 1-hour fire i ted wall has been added to Sheet A4 Section for <br /> reference. See WP 8136 / Assembly W4. <br /> A separate permit will be filed for the proposed modifications of the existing SFR. <br /> Sections B/A4 and D/A4, Wall Type"W3", and Detail 4/A6 specify a one-hour rated party wall <br /> between the units. See Section R302.3. The following comments should be addressed: <br /> a. The reference for Section B/A4 states "B/A2.3". See also Section "A/A2.3 on Sheet A4. The <br /> references should be updated. Other references in the drawings should be similarly revised. <br /> b. A party wall is not required to provide the required fire protection. The wall type may be <br /> revised to a simpler construction as the designer's discretion. <br /> c. The wall(s) should be continuous through the floor line. Alternatively, solid blocking <br /> matching the out-to-out surfaces of the GWB may be provided. <br /> d. Section D/A4 should be referenced in the plans on Sheet A2. <br /> The callouts for the building sections have been revised, details haven adjusted to show a solid <br /> blocking.
