Drew Martin
From: Drew Martin
Sent: Thursday, September 23, 2021 3:34 PM
To: dulce@dksystemsinc.com
Cc: Ryan Hammer
Subject: City of Everett Permit Services: 1505 112th Street SW (M2107-074)
Good afternoon, Dulce.
The email recaps our telephone conversation.
I spoke to someone a few weeks ago after Ryan Hammer called your office. Unfortunately, I don't recall who; it could
have been someone on the design team for the building permit (B2012.005). This issue is that the mechanical permit
application includes structural drawings with significant modifications and new framing. These structural modifications
are not included in the building permit application. We cannot permit the structural work under the mechanical permit
application. One of two things needs to occur:
1. A revision is provided for the Building Permit B2012-005 that incorporates the structural framing required
for the mechanical work.
2. A separate building permit application is required for the structural modifications. Note that the structural
drawings do not clearly cloud the additional work that is not covered under the other permit, which is
confusing. New structural drawings should be provided that clouds the work covered by the new building
permit application.
I understand that Kevin in your office may want to call me. I am available to discuss further as needed.
— Drew Martin, P.E., S.E.
Associate Engineer —Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8810 13200 Cedar Street, 2"d Floor, Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT Phone Hours: M/W/T: 8 am - 12 pm & 1 pm — 3 pm; Tu: 1:OOpm-3:OOpm
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note: EmaiIs and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and maybe subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
From: Ryan Hammer <RHammer@everettwa.gov>
Sent: Thursday, September 23, 2021 12:00 PM
To: dulce@dksystemsinc.com; Drew Martin <dmartin@everettwa.gov>
Subject: RE: [EXTERNAL] Status - Mechanical Permit #M2107-074 - 1505 - 112th Street SW, Everett
Hello Dulce,
I have included the Bldg Reviewer Drew Martin to this email to respond directly.
Regards,
— Ryan Hammer
Permit Technician I Permit Services
425.257.8810 13200 Cedar Street, 2"d Floor, Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT Phone Hours: M-F: 8:30 a.m. — 12 p.m & 1 p.m. — 3 p.m.
1
