'what the maintenance of any such lighting system upon any street, avenue or public place of the city of Everett after the expiration or termination of the permit so to do, shall be and hereby is declared to be a public nuisance and may be abat- ed by the city as such. Section 5: That all parkway cable used in any such in.- stallation shall be properly protected from mechanical injury and shall be so insulated that there shall not be less than 100 megohms resistance to electrical current between the conductor and the inner metallic sheathing. Section 6: Nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed to prevent the city from requiring the removal of such . auxiliary lighting systems at any time that the same should be necessary in the discretion of its City Council. Section It Such permit shall be granted and shall be of force and effect when the same has been approved by the City Council by resolution. Section 8: Any person violating any terms or provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding Three hundred dollars ($300.00), or by imprisonment in the City Jail not to exceed ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and im- prisonment.
