<br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN*
<br /> Section 1. It shall be unlawful ror any person, association
<br /> of persons, firm oP corporation to keep or cause to he kept for sale,
<br /> or hold, offer or expose for sale, or have in their or irs possession
<br /> for the purpose or sale, as human food, at any tine during the N'ear,
<br /> any game, meat, fish, fowl, vegetables, fruit or prepared foods in
<br /> open receptacles or broken packages, less than two feet above the floor
<br /> of any building, store, room, sidewalk or other place in which the same
<br /> may be sold, offered or exposed for sale. It shall be unlawful to keep
<br /> at any time fresh or cured fish, fresh meat or cut cured reats, game,
<br /> poultry, rabbits, cheese, figs, dates dried and candied fruits, butter,
<br /> butterine, olives, sauerkraut, Pickles, mincemeat, lard, cocoa or
<br /> other oil products, candy, crackers, spaghetti, verricelli, noodles
<br /> or unwrapped cake, bread, cookies, rolls and buscuits, or any other
<br /> unwrapped bakery products whatsoever, or any prepared foods for sale
<br /> or exposed for sale, unless the same he protected from dust, fines,
<br /> other insects or other contaminating influences, by coverings of glass;
<br /> provided, that dried# cured fish and uncut cured meats nay he protected
<br /> by tight wire screens of not less than fourteen (14) mesh.
<br /> When fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, ice cream, candies,
<br /> bake stuff and other foods for human consumption are kept, sold or of.
<br /> fered for sale in cases, boxes or (and) receptacles (including soft
<br /> drink fountain and frigid air case receptacles), such cases, boxes,
<br /> or (and) receptacles shall he at all tires free from decayed matter
