January 10, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Written comments were provided by one (1) person and the following members of the public <br />spoke: Amy Hieb. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli requested an update on a nuisance property. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne requested discussion of a vacancy tax to address vacant storefronts. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson provided a legislative update, stated staff <br />scheduled a meeting with Bunker Arts Collective, and a reminder regarding Everett Police <br />Department body-worn cameras. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall requested a 5-minute executive session pursuant to RCW 42.30.110.1(i), <br />with possible council action to follow. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 7972 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$2,803,636.67 for the period ending December 23, 2023, through December 29, 2023. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION – PAYROLL <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 7973 authorizing payroll claims against the City of Everett in the <br />amount of $5,126,841.10 for the period ending December 16, 2023.
