City of Everett 01 11 00 - 1 <br />Port Gardner Storage Facility – Demolition Package WO# UP-3525 <br />01 11 00 - 1 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />SECTION 01 11 00 - SUMMARY OF WORK <br />1.1 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. The Work specified for this contract consists of partial redevelopment of the <br />former Kimberly Clark Wastewater Treatment Plant into the Port Gardner <br />Storage Facility (PGSF). The PGSF will improve Puget Sound water quality by <br />reducing combined sewer overflows (CSO) and providing regional stormwater <br />treatment. The work as part of this contract generally includes, but shall not be <br />limited to the following: <br />1. Selective demolition in multiple areas. <br />2. Pipeline inspection and cleaning. <br />3. Concrete slab/topping layer repair and/or replacement in existing <br />secondary clarifiers. <br />4. Temporary roof infill at old chemical storage building. <br />5. Temporary site power and lighting installation. <br />6. Temporary fencing installation. <br />7. Erosion and Sediment Control <br />8. Hazardous waste materials abatement <br />1.2 CONTRACTOR’S USE OF SITE AND PREMISES <br />A. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for protection and safekeeping of <br />products under this Contract. <br />B. The Contractor shall obtain and pay for use of any additional parking, storage or <br />work areas needed for his/her operations. <br />C. The Contractor shall limit the construction activities to the areas indicated on the <br />Drawings. <br />D. Construction Plan: Before the start of construction, provide a Construction Plan <br />regarding access to Work, use of Site, proposed laydown areas and utility <br />outages for acceptance by the City. After acceptance of the Plan, construction <br />operations shall comply with the accepted Plan unless deviations are accepted <br />by the City in writing.
