City of Everett 01 12 16 - 3 <br />Port Gardner Storage Facility - Demolition Package WO# UP-3525 <br />01 12 16 - 3 WORK SEQUENCE <br />6.Schedule for installation, inspection, and maintenance of pumps and piping. <br />7.Qualifications of the proposed single point of contact responsible for the operation <br />and maintenance of the temporary pumping systems, as specified below. <br />E.Submit information for the temporary power installation and integration with active <br />plant systems. Detailed information to be submitted include single line diagram, cable <br />routing, and cable protection at crossings. <br />F.Include anticipated MOPs in Baseline Progress Schedule and monthly Progress <br />Schedule updates specified in Section 01 32 16. <br />G.Include MOPs as an agenda item for the construction progress meetings specified in <br />Section 01 31 19. <br />1.7 SEQUENCE AND SCHEDULE OF CONSTRUCTION <br />A.General: It is the Contractor’s responsibility to coordinate and plan the construction <br />activities to integrate each schedule constraint into performance of the overall Work. <br />B.The listing of schedule constraints below does reflect all constraints or special <br />conditions required for execution of the work. The list does not substitute for the <br />Contractor's coordination and planning for completion of the work in accordance with <br />the Contract Documents and within the Contract Times. <br />1.Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control (TESC) shall be installed prior to any <br />site disturbing activities. <br />2.Install settlement monitoring system per Section 31 09 11 prior to demolition <br />activities. <br />3.Existing outdoor pole lighting along north and west borders with the Everett Naval <br />Station shall be demolished as an early activity once temporary security lighting <br />along eastern property line is in place. <br />4.Deep water outfall (DWO) is connected to Area 60 Sludge Pump Station/Building. <br />The pipe is connected to an active system and maybe under pressure. Contractor <br />to coordinate with the Owner on isolation of the pipe to allow dewatering/pipe <br />inspection and a blind flange installation which isolates the DWO from demolished <br />facilities. <br />5.Dewatering activities shall be coordinated with the City. The Contractor shall <br />comply with dewatering permits. Maximum discharge to the City sewer system <br />located at the site is limited to 100GPM. Discharge points are noted on the <br />Drawings. <br />a.Contractor shall note that the existing swale pump station discharges into the <br />secondary clarifier tanks. The secondary clarifier tanks are drained/pumped to <br />the onsite sewer system identified on drawings. <br />b.Contractor shall provide a means of volume flow control by valving water <br />introduced from secondary clarifiers to the City sewer. <br />c.Pipe cleaning and dewatering activities shall be coordinated with work <br />activities inside the clarifier tanks to not conflict with clarifier tank use for <br />dewatering water storage and metering to the City sewer.
