City of Everett 00 11 13 - 1 <br />Port Gardner Storage Facility - Demolition Package WO# UP-3525 <br />00 11 13 - 1 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />SECTION 00 11 13 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Port Gardner Storage Facility – Demolition <br />Package Project will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 1ST Floor Everett Municipal <br />Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, WA, 98201, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. <br />At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and read aloud publicly via live streaming, or bidders <br />may attend the bid opening in person at 2930 Wetmore Ave, Suite 9E, Everett, WA 98201. The <br />link to view the live streaming bid opening can be found at: <br />https://everettwa.gov/319/Procurement. <br />The engineer’s estimate for this Project is $5,440,569. <br />The City of Everett acquired the former Kimberly Clark Wastewater Treatment Plant and will <br />redevelop the site into the Port Gardner Storage Facility (PGSF). The City is seeking a Contractor <br />to perform the first phase of the project which includes mainly selective demolition work. Additional <br />work during the first phase of the project includes pipeline inspection and cleaning, concrete <br />topping layer replacement, temporary roof infill, and temporary site power installation. The PGSF <br />site is located at 2200 W Marine View Dr., Everett, WA 98201. The Contractor will have 140 <br />working days (from the Notice to Proceed date) to substantially complete the work in compliance <br />with all applicable laws and regulations. <br />Pre-bid meetings are scheduled at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, 11/28/23 and at 2:00 p.m., <br />Thursday, 11/30/23 on site at 2200 W Marine View Dr., Everett WA 98201. Attendance to <br />one pre-bid meeting is mandatory. A Bid received from a Bidder who did not attend one <br />pre-bid meeting and sign the sign-in sheet will be found not responsible and the bid will <br />be rejected. Any questions and/or answers to that may affect the Bid will be included in an <br />addendum to the bid documents and sent to all the plan holders. <br />Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) <br />is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and <br />clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room <br />provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order <br />full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. <br />It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future <br />addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not <br />register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on- <br />line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at <br />(425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or registration. <br />All bids must be made upon the City forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied <br />by a bid bond or certified check or cashier’s check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) <br />of the total amount of the Bid, all as set forth in the Contract Documents. One hundred percent <br />(100%) Payment and Performance Bonds will be required of the successful Bidder to guarantee <br />faithful performance of the contract.
