We assume that as-builts of the building and the mechanical and electrical systems are available, <br />and are reasonably accurate. We have included time for field reviews of the buildings but not <br />time to create as-builts of the existing systems. <br />2. Any past hazardous material surveys will be provided by the City. <br />3. Fire sprinkler and Fire alarm system work will be covered by a performance specification with <br />design by the installing contractor. <br />4. No utility locates are included in our scope. <br />5. Our work is limited to systems inside the building footprint. <br />6. We assume that the existing electrical service is adequate to support to project work. <br />7. No unusual or detrimental conditions exist at the area of work requiring any analysis or design <br />consideration by us (e.g. existing code violations, power quality issues, existing failed <br />components, etc.). <br />8. Permit fees are not included. Note that the efforts to respond to resolve permit comments are <br />included in this proposal. <br />9. Commissioning specifications are for code required commissioning (done by a firm independent <br />of the installing HVAC/Controls contractor). Additional levels of project commissioning may be <br />provided at the City’s request. <br />10. We will provide you AutoCAD as-builts (based on contractor mark-ups) at the completion of theproject.11. If there are city facility design standards we are to adhere to, we will be provided those in writing <br />prior to us starting our design. <br />12. We assume that you will review our progress submittals and final design documents to confirm <br />their design intent is being met. <br />13. No construction will begin or ordering of materials will begin until all permits have been obtained <br />and permit comments resolved. <br />14. Project will not be bid until all permit comments have been resolved. <br />15. Support of a formal Value Engineering process is not included. <br />16. LEED and related processes are not included. <br />17. A calculation to evaluate compliance with the State Clean Building Performance Standard (CBPS) <br />is included in the basic services. However, if a building does not comply with the CBPS , the <br />efforts to identify and design these additional measures needed to comply are not included. <br />These efforts, including Energy Modelling for the CBPS, are not included but can be provided if <br />needed as an added service. <br />We appreciate this opportunity to work with you; Let us know if you have any questions. <br />Sincerely, <br />Hultz|BHU Engineers Inc.
