City comments are shown in italics below, with applicant <br /> responses following each comment. <br /> 1. The area labeled as Buffer Restoration Area 2 was never approved by the city to be altered and used as maintained <br /> lawn area.A maintained lawn area is also in violation of the original Reasonable Use Approval and is not allowed <br /> to be put back to this condition. Please have the Critical Area Study and Restoration Area Plantings Plan revised <br /> to show this area as restored buffer. The original Planting Plan for Buffer Restoration Area 2 south to Puget <br /> Drive is attached for reference. <br /> Buffer Restoration Area 2 has been merged with Buffer Restoration Area 1 in the revised <br /> Critical Area Study and Mitigation Plan,now called Buffer Restoration Area. The grass seeding <br /> that was proposed in Buffer Restoration Area 2 has been removed and this area will be planted <br /> with native trees and shrubs. <br /> 2. A Demolition permit application must be submitted to Permit Services to remove the unpermitted carport structure <br /> on the south side of the residence that encroaches into the buffer area. This demolition permit must contain the <br /> removal of all other accessory structures located within 5 feet of the buffer's edge including the second story deck as <br /> no permit history of the deck could be found and based on aerial images and Snohomish County Assessor's Property <br /> Report the deck extends out into the buffer area. This demo permit must be submitted prior to the approval of this <br /> Public Works permits as the two permits will be issued together.
