<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ________ <br /> <br />An ORDINANCE creating a special improvement project “Kiwanis Park Renovations”, Fund 354, <br />Program 090, to accumulate all project costs in the amount of $411,000 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />A. The City Council recognizes the need to maintain and improve City Park amenities. <br /> <br />B. The playground at Kiwanis Park is 20 years old and exceeds the City of Everett Park’s life-cycle <br />standard of 15 years. <br /> <br />C. The City Council has recognized the need to replace the playground and renovate the sport court <br />at Kiwanis Park. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> <br />Section 1. A special improvement project fund is hereby entitled “Kiwanis Park Renovations”, Fund <br />354, Program 090, to accumulate project costs in the amount of $411,000. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Facilities Department Director under <br />the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all <br />necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 3. The estimated cost of the playground replacement is $411,000. <br /> <br />Section 4. The sum of $411,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, Program 090 “Kiwanis Park <br />Renovations” project. <br /> <br />A. Use of Funds <br />Construction and Related Costs $411,000 <br />Total $411,000 <br /> <br />B. Source of Funds <br />CIP 3 $336,000 <br />Snohomish County REET 2 Grant $ 75,000 <br />Total $411,000
