1 <br /> • <br /> of a bulkhead, and rip rap where necessary, hydraulic fill; <br /> also construction of a one-course Portland cement concrete <br /> pavement, removal of old trestle, installation of necessary <br /> drainage, erection of guard railing, making necessary water <br /> main changes and doing all other work to make a complete im- <br /> provement in accordance with plans to be prepared by the city <br /> engineer, also the cost of acquiring by purchase or condemna- <br /> tion, or both, any right-of-way necessary for the construc- <br /> tion of such improvement. <br /> The two statements of said proposition above set forth shall <br /> be printed on a single sheet and opposite and to the right of each <br /> statement of the proposition to be voted upon there shall be printe_ <br /> a blank square within which the voter shall, by making an X indi- <br /> cate whether he voted in favor of or against the proposition sub- <br /> mitted. <br /> In the event that voting machines instead of ballots are <br /> used at such election then the two statements shall be placed upon <br /> said voting machines and the voter, instead of placing an X in the <br /> square opposite the statement of the proposition on the ballot <br /> for which he wishes to vote, shall pull the lever on the machine <br /> corresponding with the statement of the proposition for which he <br /> desires to vote. <br /> Section 5: If, at the election held as provided in this <br /> ordinance three-fifths (3/5) of the qualified votersof the cite,- of <br /> Everett voting at said election upon the proposition hereinbefore <br /> in this ordinance set forth, shall vote in favor of said proposition, <br /> thereupon the proposition described in this ordinance for the issu- <br /> ance of bonds of the city of Everett in a sum not to exceed 450, 000. <br /> for the purpose of paying said city's share of the cost of the im- <br /> provement of the following described roadway, to-wit: beginning at <br /> the south line of 21st Street; thence northerly along the Norton <br /> Avenue extension to a point opposite the Irving-Daugherty bill at <br /> -4- <br />
