FIRE CODE ORDINANCE Page 18 of 38 <br /> <br />Adopted as amended by Washington State with the following local amendments: <br /> <br />A. Subsection 606.3.3.1 of the IFC, entitled “Inspection,” is hereby deleted and the following inserted in <br />its place: <br /> <br />606.3.3.1 Inspection. Hoods, grease-removal devices, fans, ducts and other appurtenances shall be <br />inspected at intervals specified in Table 606.3.3.1 or as approved by the fire code official. Inspections <br />shall be completed by qualified individuals that are trained with certifications establishing requirements <br />for cleaning of commercial cooking operations. As per section 102.8, the fire code official will evaluate <br />the training and certifications of individuals to determine if they are qualified to perform inspections <br />within the jurisdiction. <br /> <br />16.03.070 Amendments to IFC Chapter 7, Fire Smoke Protection Features. <br /> <br />Adopted as amended by Washington State. <br /> <br />16.03.080 Amendments to IFC Chapter 8, Interior Finish, Decorative Materials and Furnishings. <br /> <br />Adopted as amended by Washington State. <br /> <br />16.03.090 Amendments to IFC Chapter 9, Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems. <br /> <br />Adopted as amended by Washington State with the following local amendments: <br /> <br />A. Subsection 901.1 of the IFC, entitled “Scope,” is hereby deleted and the following inserted in its <br />place: <br /> <br />901.1 Scope. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all occupancies and buildings, shall specify <br />where fire protection systems are required, and shall apply to the design, installation, inspection, <br />operation, testing, and maintenance of all fire protection systems; however, nothing contained in this <br />chapter shall diminish or reduce the requirements of any legally adopted building codes, including state <br />and local amendments, or other City ordinances, resolutions, or regulations. In the event of any conflict <br />in requirements among these codes, ordinances, resolutions, or regulations, the more stringent <br />provision shall apply. <br /> <br />B. Subsection 901.6.3 of the IFC, entitled “Records,” is hereby deleted and the following inserted in its <br />place: <br /> <br />901.6.3 Records. Records of all system inspections, testing, and maintenance required by the referenced <br />standards shall be maintained on the premises for a minimum of 5 years. A copy of each inspection, test, <br />or maintenance record shall be forwarded to the fire code official electronically through the record <br />management software/company of the jurisdictions choosing within 30 days of the date the inspection, <br />test, or maintenance occurred. <br /> <br />C. Subsection 903.2.1.1 Item 1 of the IFC, entitled “Group A-1,” is hereby amended: <br />
