February 21, 2024 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., February 21, <br />2024, by President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Rhyne, Schwab, Vogeli, Zarlingo, Bader, and <br />Tuohy were present. Mayor Franklin was excused. <br />REMOTE PARTICIPATION EXCEPTION – COUNCIL MEMBER FOSSE <br />Moved by President Schwab, seconded by Council Member Rhyne, to approve an exception to <br />Resolution 7891, Section 3, Point 2d, which limits Councilmembers to remote participation no <br />more than one Council meeting per quarter per calendar year, and allow Council Member Fosse <br />to attend this evening’s meeting remotely. <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member Fosse who was not <br />called during the original roll. <br /> Motion carried. <br />Upon roll call for Council Member Fosse, she was present. <br />Council Member Zarlingo led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Vogeli recited the land acknowledgement. <br />The minutes of the February 14, 2024, meeting were approved. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin was excused. <br />President Schwab welcomed Deputy Police Chief Jeraud Irving to introduce a new police officer. <br />OATH – POLICE OFFICER <br />Moved by Council Member Zarlingo, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to concur with the <br />appointment of Robab Gessese as a new police officer. <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes.
