February 21, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office, President Schwab pinned the officer with their <br />badge, and Council members congratulated Officer Gessese. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />President Schwab stated written comments must be provided in the same manner as oral <br />comments with the name and city of residence being provided by commentors. <br /> <br />Council received eight (8) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Jane McClure and Chelsea Gray. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Executive Director Lori Cummings stated the dedication of the Land Acknowledgement art <br />installation will be held tomorrow, February 22, at 12 p.m. in front of the Everett Municipal <br />Building. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall had no update. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Bader, to approve the <br />following consent items: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 7988 authorizing claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br />$1,745,808.09 for the period of February 3, 2024, through February 9, 2023.
