• <br /> 41 <br /> be permissible to have attached to any motor vehicle one fog light. <br /> The term "fog light" when used with respect to motor vehicles shall <br /> mean a light fixed to the motor vehicle no higher than 36 inches <br /> nor lower than 12 inches above the level surface upon which the ve- <br /> hicle stands and which said light is stationary and not subject to <br /> control from the driver' s seat, and which said light shall be so fixed <br /> that the main subst ntially parallel beam of light shall at all times <br /> be directed downward and to the right so as to illuminate the right <br /> side of the paving or main traveled portion of the street or alley <br /> or other public place for a distance of not more than 125 feet direct- <br /> ly in front of such vehicle. <br /> Sectionl7: Whenever there is sufficient light within the lat- <br /> eral boundaries of the street, alley or other public place within <br /> a business or residence district as herein defined to reveal all <br /> persons, vehicles or substantial objects within said boundaries for <br /> a distance of two hundred feet, no lights shall be required to be <br /> displayed on any vehicle u on a public highway while the same is <br /> not in motion: Provided, that a right hand wheel of such standing <br /> vehicle is located within twelve inches of the right hand curb. <br /> When the above provisions of this section do not apply a rear red <br /> light and dimmed headlights or side lights must be displayed. <br /> Section 18: (a) Whenever any vehicle shall be loaded with <br /> any material in such a manner that any portion of such load extends <br /> toward the rear three feet or more beyond the rear of the body or <br /> bed of such vehicle there shall be displayed at the extreme rear end <br /> of the load at the times and under the conditions specified in this <br /> act in addition to the ordinary rear light hereinbefore regaired to <br /> be displayed, a red light of not less than three inches in diameter <br /> plainly visible under normal atmospheric conditions at least 200 feet <br /> from the rear and at all other times while such vehicle is upon the <br /> streets, alleys and other public places of the city of Everett and a <br />
