intention of the driver to stop or turn such vehicle and approved <br /> by the commission on equipment of the State of Washington may be used. <br /> (g) 2111 vehicles operated on the streets, alleys or other .pub- <br /> lic places in this city vhich are so constructed that hand and arm <br /> signals given by the driver are not visible at the rear of said ve- <br /> hicle, must be equipped with a suitable mechanical or electrical <br /> device approved by the said commission on equipment capable of dis- <br /> playing unmistakable signals as to the intention of the driver to <br /> stop or turn such vehicle. <br /> (h) It shall be unlawful to transport any living animal on <br /> the running board, fenders, hood or other out s ide part of any v e- <br /> hicle unless suitable harness, cage, carrier or guard rail be pro- <br /> via ed and so attached as to reasonably protect such animal from <br /> falling or being thrown therefrom. <br /> ( i) Drivers, when approaching street intersections, shall look <br /> out for and give right of way to vehicles on their right, simultan- <br /> eously approaching a given point vJithin the intersection, and whe- <br /> ther such vehicles first enter and reach the intersectionor not ; <br /> Provided, This paragraph shall not apply to drivers on arterial <br /> highways. <br /> (j ) A vehicle, except when passing a vehicle ahead, shall <br /> keep as near to the right hand curb as practicable. <br /> (k) On a street divided longitudinally by a parkway, walk, <br /> sunken way or viaduct, vehicles shall keep to the right of such <br /> division. <br /> (I) A vehicle overtaking another vehicle going in the same <br /> direction shall pass to the left of such vehicle so overtaken and <br /> shall not pull over to the right until so far ahead as not to in- <br /> terfere with the progress of the overtaken vehicle ; but in so pass- <br /> ing such vehicle shall not pass to the left of the center of the <br /> highway unless the way ahead is clear of approaching traffic. <br /> (m) ]tio vehicle shall pass a vehicle headed in the same di- <br /> rection just before reaching the crest of a hill or on a curve, <br />
