1 <br /> (b) The term "headlight" as used herein shall <br /> denote a light located upon the front or other portion of a vehicle <br /> the rays of which are projected forward other than a "side light" <br /> or "spot light ". <br /> (c) Motor vehicles may also be equipped with <br /> two "side lights" but no r..ore or less. 2he term "sid.e light" shall <br /> include any lights U :on a motor vehicle other than headlight0 li`chts <br /> or spot lights the rays of Which project forward, or such other <br /> signal light of such color and design as the Washington department <br /> of public works may by rule require or permit on public carriers. <br /> No electric lamps or bulbs shall be used in any "side light" which <br /> exceeds four candle power. <br /> Section 11: Every motor vehicle and every trailer or <br /> sem .-trailer which is being drawn at the end of a train of vehic- <br /> les at the times and under the conditions specified herein, shall <br /> display at the rear a red light plainly visible under normal at- <br /> mospheric conditions for a distance of 500 feet toward the rear. <br /> Section 12: Every motorcycle at the times specified herein <br /> shall be equipped with at least one lighted headlight and not, more <br /> than two which shall conform to the provisions of this aet-relating <br /> to headL fights for automobiles. <br /> Section 13: Every bicycle at the times and under the con- <br /> ditions stated in this shall be equipped with a light visible <br /> under normal atmospheric conditions at least three hundred feet in <br /> the direction toward which such bicycle is facing, and shall also <br /> carry at the rear of such bicycle a reflex mirror or a lamp exhib- <br /> iting a red light plainly visible under normal atmospheric conditions <br /> for a distance of at least two hundred feet toward the rear. <br /> Section 14: Side lights on long vehicles or combinations of <br /> vehicles having gross or overall lengths in excess of 20 feet, <br /> shall at the time and under the conditions specified herein carry at <br /> the left side and near the rear thereof a lighted lamp exhibiting a <br /> red light towards the rear and a white light t avards the front ; both <br /> of which lights shall be plainly visible under normal atmospheric <br />
