for and shall be substantially as follows: <br /> DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY. <br /> I, the undersigned, do hereby file with the city clerk <br /> of the city of Everett my declaration of candidacy for nom. <br /> ination to the office of to be voted for at the <br /> municipal primary election to be held in said city on <br /> the day of , 192 , and I do hereby certify <br /> that I am a citizen of the United States and of the State of <br /> Washington and a resident of Lverett. <br /> Signed: <br /> STATE OF WASHINGT ON, ) <br /> : SS. <br /> COUNTY OF SNOHOMISH, ) <br /> , being first duly sworn <br /> on oath, deposes and says: That he is the person who signed <br /> the foregoing declaration of candidacy, and that the statements <br /> therein are true. <br /> Subscribed and sworn to before me this day of , 19 . <br /> Notary Public in and for the State <br /> of Washington, residing at Everett." <br /> Section 4: That section 71 of the Charter of the city of <br /> Everett be amended so as to read as follows, to -wit: <br /> "Section 71: PUBLICATION OF LISTS OF CANDIDATES: <br /> The clerk, not later than the 25th day before every pri- <br /> mary election, shall prepare and file in his office a certificate <br /> containing a complete list of the offices to be filled, and tie <br /> candidates for each office who are entitled to have their name <br /> appear upon the ballot. The clerk shall cause to be published in <br /> the city official newspaper at least one week before the day of <br /> such election an election notice, which shall contain a copy of <br /> the certificate last above described, and also the time and ;;laces <br /> of holding such election. A copy of such notice shall be posted <br /> at all polling places at least seven days before the day of election." <br />
