4111 Section 5: That Section 72 of the Charter of the city of Everett be amended so as to read as follows, to-wit: "Section 72: BALLOTS--2RT.EPARATION: The Clerk shall cause appropriate ballots for each municipal election to be prepared." Section 6: That section 75 of the charter of the city of Everett be amended so as to read as follows, to-wit: "section 75: CANVASS OF RETURNS--DETE'MINATION OF RETLTS OF ELECTION. (a) Where any candidate receives a majority of all votes cast at such primary election for any office, the name or names of such candidate or candidates receiving such majority shall be printed separately on the general election ballot -- - �- .:„� t 1 and the name or names of no opposing candidate or candidates shall be printed on such ballot in opposition to such candidate or candidates, but spaces equaling the number of such majority candidates shall be left following such name or names in which the voter may in- sert the name of any person for whom he wishes to cast his bal - lot. In case no candidate receives a majority of all votes cast for the office to which he seeks election, then the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes for that re- spective office at the primary election shall be the only can- didates at the general election. Provided, that if ther be any person, who, under the provisions of this section, would have been entitled to become a candidate for any office, ex- cept for the fact that some other candidate day-aay-eigi, received an equal nut$be± of votes therefor, then all such persons receiving such equal number of votes shall likewise become candidates for such office.
