CITY OF EVERETT AQUASOX PAGE 2
ECONOMIC IMPACT UPDATE SCOPE OF WORK MARCH 12, 2024
•Jobs, wages, business revenues and visits at Funko Field. CAI
will collaborate with the City of Everett and the AquaSox to obtain
jobs, wages, and business revenues associated with the AquaSox’s
operations at Funko Field for 2023. Data will include jobs, wages, and
business revenues pertaining to the AquaSox organization, in addition
to jobs, employment, and business revenues for vendors operating
within Funko Field.
•Alternative site assumptions. To inform updated potential
economic impacts for the Downtown Site, CAI will work with Angel of
the Winds Arena to collect jobs, employment, and business revenues
associated with all the Arena’s events.
•Visitation and visitor spending. Additionally, CAI will work with
the AquaSox and Angel of the Winds Arena to obtain attendance data
alongside any visitor spending or visitor place of origin data available
for 2023.
We will leverage the previously collected data and assumptions as well as
any existing research conducted in 2023.
Task 2. Economic and Fiscal Impact Analysis
Community Attributes will utilize the Input-Output model developed for the
2022 analysis, updated to accurately reflect 2023 data, to analyze the
economic impact of the AquaSox at their current location (Funko Field) in
addition to estimating the potential economic impacts associated with the
Downtown Broadway and Hewitt Ave Site. Total economic impacts will
include additional jobs, income, and business revenues supported through
upstream business-to-business transactions (indirect) and worker income
expenditures elsewhere in the economy (induced) for Snohomish County.
Task 3. Draft and Final Briefing Document
CAI will work with the City of Everett to design a high-level summary
memorandum to support communications on the economic impacts of the two
sites analyzed. The summary memo will be technical in nature and include
basic data tables and charts as necessary to illustrate the impacts.
B UDGET AND S CHEDULE
Total amount billed shall not exceed $14,500.
CAI acknowledges time is of the essence and will complete the work quickly
once given notice to proceed. The timeframe for completion is contingent
upon the responsiveness and timeliness of data providers.
