Notes/tables should be updated to include the adjustments based on the <br /> selected energy credit. <br /> c. To qualify for credit 2.1, the plans should specify the maximum tested building air <br /> leakage and show all the qualifying ventilation system and its control sequence of <br /> operation. <br /> d. To qualify for credit 3.5, the plans should specify the heating equipment type and the <br /> minimum equipment efficiency. <br /> e. To qualify for credit 5.4, the plans should specify the water heater equipment type and <br /> the minimum equipment efficiency. <br /> 12. See whole house ventilation notes on Sheet S3. The plans appear to reference the 2015 IRC. <br /> Revise notes and plans as follows. <br /> a. Plans should clearly specify the whole house ventilation system. See Section 1505.4.1 of <br /> the 2018 IRC. <br /> i. Whole-House Ventilation using Exhaust Fans. M1505.4.1.2 <br /> ii. Whole-House Ventilation using Supply Fans. M1505.4.1.3 <br /> iii. Whole-House Ventilation System, balanced. M1505.4.1.4 <br /> iv. Whole-House Ventilation using Furnace Integrated Supply. M1505.4.1.5 <br /> b. Plans should specify the mechanical ventilation airflow rate cfm, continuous or <br /> intermittent per the current 2018 IRC code requirement. M1505.4.3 <br /> c. The location of the whole house vent appears to be located behind a closed door in the <br /> laundry room. Plans should show door vents/louvers to provide adequate airflow. <br /> Exhaust/supply fans should be tested and rated in accordance with the airflow <br /> (M1505.4.1.2 and M1505.4.1.3).
