Notes/tables should be updated to include the adjustments based on the selected energy credit. c. To qualify for credit 2.1, the plans should specify the maximum tested building air leakage and show all the qualifying ventilation system and its control sequence of operation. d. To qualify for credit 3.5, the plans should specify the heating equipment type and the minimum equipment efficiency. e. To qualify for credit 5.4, the plans should specify the water heater equipment type and the minimum equipment efficiency. 12. See whole house ventilation notes on Sheet S3. The plans appear to reference the 2015 IRC. Revise notes and plans as follows. a. Plans should clearly specify the whole house ventilation system. See Section 1505.4.1 of the 2018 IRC. i. Whole-House Ventilation using Exhaust Fans. M1505.4.1.2 ii. Whole-House Ventilation using Supply Fans. M1505.4.1.3 iii. Whole-House Ventilation System, balanced. M1505.4.1.4 iv. Whole-House Ventilation using Furnace Integrated Supply. M1505.4.1.5 b. Plans should specify the mechanical ventilation airflow rate cfm, continuous or intermittent per the current 2018 IRC code requirement. M1505.4.3 c. The location of the whole house vent appears to be located behind a closed door in the laundry room. Plans should show door vents/louvers to provide adequate airflow. Exhaust/supply fans should be tested and rated in accordance with the airflow (M1505.4.1.2 and M1505.4.1.3).
