April 24, 2024 <br />8 <br /> <br />of $354,900, to NGA 3, CIP 4 “Waits Relocation Costs” to complete the City of Everett’s Waits <br />Motel Resident Relocation. Allocations(s) must meet the following criteria. <br />• $600 per month per displaced unit (13 units) for 36 months ($21,600 per unit) ($28,000) <br />o To be paid in one lump sum or monthly direct deposit to person named as rent <br />payer; <br />o Or split 50/50 between the residents who shared a room (four units had two <br />adults residing together). <br />• $5,700 per unit for first/last/deposit/incidentals (13 units) one time ($27,300 per unit) <br />($354,900) <br />o To be paid in a separate lump sum to the relocated household <br />o The cost paid for transitional housing thus far will be included in the payoff <br />amount. <br />• Any displaced individual or group who has in some way moved on from relocation services <br />will be offered, in writing, the payoff amount minus money paid in relocation thus far, <br />with the same terms, i.e., lump sum and/or monthly direct deposit regardless of their <br />current situation. <br />• A notification of these terms will be provided to each of the 17 residents and signed copies <br />of said residents accepting or denying these terms will be provided to Council.” <br /> <br />Susy Haugen, Finance; David Hall, Legal; and Jennifer Gregerson, Administration, answered <br />Council questions. <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Zarlingo, seconded by Council Member Bader, to table the <br />proposed Waits Motel Resident Relocation amendment of Council Bill 2404-97. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Rhyne, seconded by Council Member Vogeli, to table Council Bill <br />2402-97, as amended. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member Bader, Tuohy, and <br />Zarlingo, who voted no. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br />
